FACE Uses Football to Mobilize Youth for Civic Engagement and HIV Awareness

The Foundation for Active Civic Education (FACE) has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment and civic participation through the recognition of outstanding participants in a vibrant local football Bonanza.

The Bonanza served as a platform to deliver crucial messages about HIV and AIDS testing, prevention, and stigma reduction among young people. By combining sports with health awareness, FACE continues to use creative, community-based strategies to inspire informed and responsible citizens.

In a symbolic gesture, FACE officials handed over an envelope to young players in recognition of their dedication, teamwork, and discipline: values that mirror the organization's mission to promote active citizenship through sports for development.

The event attracted community members, traditional leaders, and local supporters, underscoring strong grassroots backing for FACE’s efforts to build an empowered, healthy, and engaged generation.

650K people have been helped since 2004
