FACE Trains Local Leaders to Address HIV and AIDS Misconceptions

The Foundation for Active Civic Education (FACE) has intensified its grassroots health education efforts by conducting training sessions with local leaders focused on addressing myths and misconceptions surrounding HIV and AIDS.

Held in a community hall in Mbenje, the session brought together village heads, community representatives, and frontline influencers to strengthen their knowledge and role in promoting accurate, stigma-free information about HIV prevention, testing, and treatment.

By equipping local leaders with the right information, FACE aims to bridge knowledge gaps, combat harmful beliefs, and foster informed dialogue in rural communities, laying the groundwork for a healthier, more inclusive society.
